Looking back on the mile stones we crossed over, we do acknowledge the yeomen services of Mr. C. Asirvatham, a primary school headmaster and Prof. P. M. Baskaran. Both of them started helping their community people for marriages, functions and meeting which in turn lead to one of the biggest and famous catering company in Tamilnadu.
Mr. C. Asirvatham had been a guidance sprit and role model to Prof. P. M. Baskaran who later on jumped up to different heights and to give different varieties in South Indian Style and continue to maintain till date.
Without bridges, the best built roads lead nowhere, the most impressive visions remain invisible and the best laid plans fail. With more than half a century of experience in the food service industry we wanted to build the bridge from South India to USA and wanted to make the connection which led to “Chennai Grill”
For all sad words of tongue and pen, The saddest are these,“It might have been” – John Greenleaf Whittier and the most delightful words are “As it should be”. Chennai Grill activates itself to stand prestigious in establishing the standard “As it should be”

Traditional interior design generally include deep wood tones, architectural details, and elegant furnishings. Traditional interior design often also emphasizes simplicity and comfort in its layout. The wall paintings depict South Indian architecture and the olden style cooking.
As our mission is to go great heights in order to maintain the highest standards of authenticity by the choice of ingredients which includes hand picked spices, freshly ground masalas by hand pounded on pestles to provide an earthy flavor, sun dried vegetables as a part of the cooking to makes sure that Chennai Grill food is bona fide Tamilnadu. At this point, our focus is on the quality of the food and, we keep the restaurant as a semi self service where customers have to order the food at the counter, help themselves with the culinary and the food will be served to them at the table. As we grow bigger we will consider moving to proper dine-in experience for our customers and we appreciate your great support till then.

Our menu selections are wide from traditional South Indian breakfast items to modern Indi-Chinese items.
We make sure that our traditional items tastes the way it should taste. We focus on the different kinds of cuisine from South India – Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Our style typically relates to the Tiruchirapalli, Thanjavur, Dindigul and Karaikudi regions of Tamilnadu.
Each menu items has the touch of nativity and made in a home-style fashion to be more successful in the completive world.
Our Chef’s responsibilities include menu planning, creates daily and weekly specials, creates special menu for functions, and determines portions sizes.
Our Chef – inspecting what we expect is painful both for ourselves and for our team members. But the pain that we go through is where the success comes from. But it is at this moment that you realize at that point the struggle will be the source of great victory.
